October has arrived… and has brought with it the best time of the year; the festive quarter. Three months of customs, celebrations and dressing up fun.
We need one reason to dress up, however, we are offered many in the month of October itself … Navratri, Dusshera, Karwa Chauth, Dhan Teras, Lakshmi Puja and Diwali. And so the hunt for the best outfits, the best accessories and also the best gifts begin. Sometimes it does get a bit difficult to find the perfect matches, but not anymore. Forget the crazy queues outside the trial rooms, forget being pushed around the store, and forget checking ten stores to find an outfit that makes you look like a star; shop from the comfort of your home through a miracle store called Myntra.

Forget the crazy queues outside the trial rooms, forget being pushed around the store, and forget checking ten stores to find an outfit that makes you look like a star; shop from the comfort of your home through a miracle store called Myntra.
Myntra.com is a one-stop online heaven for all your fashion and lifestyle needs. The online store aims at offering a hassle-free shopping experience to shoppers with its wide range of products and brands. The only glitch is the amazing number of products in all the price ranges that make it extremely difficult to choose just a few products when you practically want to buy the entire store. As I looked through the amazing collection at Myntra, I kept adding to the cart and then had to keep picking one product over the other product. I knew instantly that I would love to create two definite looks that would be as different from each other as day and night.
Biba Churidar Kurta, DoBhai Peep Toes, Anouk Handbag, Anouk Drop Earrings, Bentex Watch
I know as a mother, wife and most important as a daughter-in-law during the festive times there is so much that will be expected of me during the day; from decorating, cooking to serving and entertaining and last minute emergency tasks. So my outfit needs to be fuss-free while being beautiful and elegant. As I first started browsing I also kept in mind the weather in my city and zeroed in on the pastel Biba by Rohit Bal Cream Churidar Kurta. A perfect cotton-silk outfit to keep cool with the sun blazing down my back. The beauty of the intricate print designs warrants delicate silver accessories and a rush of colour with a pink handbag. On the makeup front, I'd like to wear my hair in side-swept curls and go bold on the lips and keep the eyes muted.
Shakumbhari Lehenga Choli, Catwalk Heels, ToniQ Bag, Fida Drop Earrings, DressBerry Ring
While putting together an evening look I'd keep away from the conventional saree, as I want a look that is fun and se*y. The Shakumbhari Lehenga Choli is perfect for my evening look. It is colourful, fun and gorgeous. I’d love to style it with statement earrings cum a cocktail ring and golden add-ons without over accessorizing the outfit will speak for itself. Depending on my mood I would like to throw in a couple of golden bangles or a simple cuff to complete my evening look. On the hairstyle front, I'd either let my hair loose or pull it up onto a high bun to give myself a composed look. And on makeup front I'd love to mute my lips with a n*de lip shine and go dramatic with the eyes.
What colours do you like to flaunt during the festive season? Like you can see mine are in the family of red and green, auspicious colours aren't they? What do you think of my looks?
